Brunei Darussalam is hosting the 39th ASEAN Senior Amateur Golf tournament. Six ASEAN countries are participating namely Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, as well as host Brunei Darussalam. The tournament raised its curtains this morning.
2 hundred and 56 senior amateur golfers aged 55 and above are competing in the tournament, which is divided into two formats. 1 hundred and 28 golfers will be competing using the Stableford Play at The Empire Golf and Country Club.
Meanwhile at Mentiri Beach Golf Club, players use the Stroke Play format. The 3-day tournament is organised by the Brunei Darussalam Senior Golfers' Association alongside the Confederation of ASEAN Senior Golfers' Association.
